Ghaddafi and Gareth
This is my mate, Gareth, taken while we were browsing the clothes stores on Haight Street. This came out way underexposed, but I used my very, very limited Photoshop skills to redo the levels. I like the end result; it captures the neighborhood's self-conscious hip. Not that Gar is self-consciously hip!

The Ramones are essential somewhere in any picture of the self-consciously hip - you nailed it.
If this sentence or that one doesn't scan it is because I am 3000 sheets to the wind at the mo.
The Ramones were cool as fuck.
I hope Gareth is a Celtic soul-brother. We may well have wet him last year at the Millennium Stadium if he has any interest in the passion shared by Limerick people and the Welsh.

Sam - I am recovering from a 3000 sheets to the wind evening myself - my 39th birthday.
Bock Gar is not only a Celtic soul brother, he is a Limerick soul brother, of famous Limerick sporting lineage. His father is Al Finucane, Limerick footballer, (soccer for the heathens over in Amerikay), non pareil. Gar is a dab foot with the aul ball himself, and a fine drummer.
He looks a bit like Calum Best! Yummy!!
Thanks for article!
