Pints
I'm really not sure what to make of this.
Shane has an Irish teacher at his pre-school. She asked the kids what their favorite place, outside of home and school was. Shane answered that his favorite place was Ireland. When asked why, he replied with a straight face, "because I like going to the pub and drinking pints of Guinness with Daddy"
Lucky it was an Irish teacher!

Lucky. How's the leg?
No so good - but it is a little better, only a little :(
Erp, you're just going to have to rest it. Poor old thing, there's nothing worse, especially as you're just getting back into it all.
The babes say such truthful little gems! :-)
One of my pupils told me today that his Dad said I was over forty and too old for teaching! (His Dad was joking his kid who really loves me! Imagine - he likes his teacher! I'm nice :-) ) I told him to tell his Dad that he was too old for codding me!
True Mairead!
I told my Dad this story, and he remembered that I used to love to go to the pub when I was a small child, and I would sulk if a Sunday Drive didn't involve a stop to the pub. I vividly remember loving pubs, not just because we got crisps and red lemonade, but because of the smell and atmosphere. I found pubs really cosy
