"Ta siad ag teacht..."
Anyone who lived in Ireland in the 80's will get the above reference. It's Irish for, "They are coming." Guinness are rightfully famous for their adverts over the years, and the quote is from a Guinness ad. It starts with a dark moody bar, and the sound of a clock ticking, (think a Western transported to the Aran Islands). Their are several shadowy figures loitering quietly. Then a man rushes into the bar and announces, "Ta siad ag teacht!" The next scene is that of a currach rushing over the waves, a keg of Guinness sitting in its midsection.

Ah, the memories. I loved that ad. Even before I had my first ever pint.
I tried looking for it on Youtube but no dice.
I loved that ad, I loved that one and the one where the horses were waves, the 'tick followed tock' one. Can I just say that is one beautiful boy you have, what huge eyes. He's going to be a frightful heartbreaker someday and if he's a musician as well...sheesssssh, lock up your daughters.

He is a total faker, and can summon crocodile tears from those big eyes really easy. They can stop just as fast as they started. He's like one of those cheesy kids crying paintings from the 70's.
Yup, Guinness surely have the ad thing down.
But best of all is the end.
After the keg Guinness is delivered, and finished, the last scene cuts to an ould lad, who says: "Aris, Anthony"
